We at 'In The Mix Music' have been using Musical Stories as a teaching tool for over 20 years to engage really beginner string players, as well as big group workshops in Infant and Primary schools too. Using fun sound effects created on an instrument, we can tell an engaging story, using these sound fx to really inspire children to get creative. Once a demonstration is made, then its their turn. In short, Musical Stories are a fantastic way to spark a musical fire in children, when they maybe haven't even held a violin or cello before.
